    The GPVWC Administration reviewed the incident and spoke with the Edonis Engineering management. In the light of the findings, the Management found that the unnatural slowing down of the driver, while not putting in immediate danger any of the drivers close by (and therefore not being in breach of Sporting Regulations), was performed in a way that consistues a breach of rule 25.5 of the GPVWC Rulebook (Code of Conduct section). It is to be stressed that, while team orders can be accepted as part of competition, this ruling pertains mainly to the manner in which the manoeuvre was performed, which cast the race in a negative light. The Management took the decision not to inflict any penalty point on the drivers involved in the manoeuvre, nor to apply any penalty that would affect the results. However, the Management is taking the decision to inflict a £1,500,000 fine on Edonis Engineering due to its failure to control its drivers and prevent from breaching the rules.
