PENALTIES
  • Disciplinary Committee vs Lee Morris - Avoidable contact - Racing Incident
    Morris and Teien come together, causing them both to spin in front of most of the field. As Morris simply rode too much kerb which caused his car to go further right than he perhaps wanted to and Teien does perhaps cut across on Morris as he comes off the kerb on such an angle this is a simple clashing lines from both drivers and as such is being classed as a racing incident.
  • Rudy van Buren - Avoidable contact - Warning
    Van Buren cuts across on Geier on the run to T1. Though the move is very aggressive and Van Buren did not seem to realise how close Geier was to him when he moved right,the cars do appear to get stuck to each other once the wheels overlap, causing the pair to be momentarily tangled before they seperate again. Despite this Van Buren has been given a warning for avoidable contact and is advised to take extra care in the early moments of races.
  • Disciplinary Committee vs Michael Eyres - Avoidable contact - Racing Incident
    Going into T3 as drivers are recovering from the Morris and Teien incident, Eyres and Varley come together. As Eyres goes wide of the apex because of de Vries up his inside this is being classed as a racing incident, with Varley seeming to get caught out in a blind spot and not being able to see he is 3 wide through the corner.
  • Fran Lopez - Avoidable contact
    10 seconds time penalty
    5-slots grid penalty for the next event
    1 license points docked
    Lopez goes for a overly optimistic move on Olsson into Stowe, diving for the inside from about two or three cars lengths back, the resulting contact spinning himself and causing contact with Rowland, who had nowhere to go behind him.
