The Japanese based Simsoa team had indicated recently that there 2004 car would start private testing in late December 2003, but in a surprise development they appear to have hit the track early! The Paparazzi have been lucky enough to take some shaky, long distance shots of the teams challenger.

The Japanese paparazzi knew something was happening when the Suzuka circuit was sealed off to the public today. But that didn't put them off finding vantage points to take some photographs of what appears to be the Simsoa teams 2004 challenger.

Although most shots taken are from a distance, one in particular confirms that the 2004 car is a much more radical design than that used in the latter third of the F1VWC 2003.

The car ran in green and white with no logo's or engine badges, and appeared to be a standard system check test. The drivers identity was also unknown.

F1VWC news were lucky enough to obtain some of the first shots of what appears to be the new breed of F1VWC car.
