Having read the statement released by Woods Racing regarding his release from Race then Test duties, John Harland had the following to say:-

"What Oliver Woods said in his statement backs up what un-named individuals have said about him. I'm far from happy at Woods high and mighty press release about my departure. Truth of the matter is Woods Racing knew my day job took precident to the F1VWC and the same goes for IGP3 too - however I feel I'm to be more involved in IGP3 as I race 3 teams there."

"In any case Woods had no right claiming that it was his doing that I left. Truth is he is far from a decent Formula One manager in my opinion, he is lazy and far from organised and leaves everything to the last minute, the first two tests I had no access to my PC as I was literally out of the country working in Jersey, and the final test I sent to the wrong address - an easy enough mistake to make I may add."

Quite frankly I'm glad to be away from that team and am now available if anyone requires a test driver."

F1VWC Press comment - Woods Racing's comment of the 1st February, regarding the sacking of John Harland, went without a posted response. It is felt that Harland should have his fair say on the subject, hence the above statement. An earlier immediate response was not published as John was clearly unhappy with the situation and his immediate comments were felt inappropriate for posting at that time.
