Both Kari Koski and Steve Elencevski used the small break between the San Marino and Spanish Grand Prix to take some time off and relax following the disappointment of Imola where both had disappointing race finishing well in the points, but both were hoping for better results after promising qualifying. Steve couldn't hold on to p1 and dropped to 5th at the race and Kari dropped from 4th on the grid to 6th during the race.

"After a fairly disappointing San Marino Grand Prix, I have been trying to relax in order to regain my focus," Kari stated. "I?ve been doing some training but also taken things very easy, just to get off from f1 for few days. Most of the teams spend a lot of time testing at the Barcelona track, so the drivers know the circuit like the back of their hand. We have done eight test days this year at Barcelona in total and i've completed three of those. So we should have plenty of data and some good setups to build our qualifying and race strategies."

Kari admits that his aggressive style of driving doesn?t necessarily suit the characteristics of the Circuit de Catalunya, as a smoother style is favoured. But he?s still optimistic about the race. "Although we regulary run at Barcelona, I wouldn?t consider it one of my favourite circuits as it doesn?t really suit my driving style, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't try my very best at the race. I've set my target to the podium, nothing less." Kari said.
