Feelings at the FinOz Racing team were one of satisfaction after Spanish GP qualifying, with both cars again on 2 front rows.

Steve Elencevski starts fourth time in a row from front row and it was 3rd time time this season that Steve will start from 2nd place on the grid. Also 3 times it's been Scott Whiteman who has been the only one to beat Steve to Pole in Qualifying.

The teams 2nd driver Kari Koski will be right behind Steve's car on the grid as Kari was 4th quickest. Both cars have a good starting place for the long 65 lap race which should be exciting. It was also fourth time in a row for Kari to get into 2 front rows on the grid. He has been 3 times 4th and once 3rd in last 4 races.

Kari Koski commented shortly his qualifying run:

"I had quite bad tyre wear and had to tweak my setup until the last minute. Actually we did some small changes just before i went out on my qualifying run and although i'm not 100% happy with the handling with heavier fuel load, it should work well when the car gets lighter. Balance is very good and i'm quite optimistic for the race. It's so easy to make a mistake and lose vital seconds on this track, and as racing is as close as it is a few mistakes can cost you several places in the race. So I just need to keep out of trouble and we should have good race and score as much points as possible."

With both cars in the top 4 after qualifying, the FinOz team hope they can keep up with Mapes-VO and EIRE in the Constructors Championship and strengthen their 3rd place.
