The same driver line up that Phoenix F1 have here in the USA in 2004 is exactly the same as EIRE had in 2003 when they achieved P1 & P2 in the race. Both drivers have commented on the high hopes they have for the forthcoming GP - perhaps even that elusive first win for the team?

Kieran Ryan

'' It's quite strange the end the session in 2nd place because I've had a difficult weekend setup wise. It took a while to iron some of the under and over steer out of the car and we still had some of it left by qualifying time. I had a huge smash on Friday which called for the red flag, which damaged my my race car and thus I had to use the spare car (having swapped the engine over) which meant Daniel couldn't use that when he had a small problem with his car.

It's all the more strange because each pole time this year has been close to last years so I assumed that pole would be closer and I would have been happier with a top 8 - but to find everyone closer to my times was a relief which now means a podium is certainly possible, and with my strategy I'm sure I can do just that.''

"The pace of the front runners has given me a bit of optimism. Our strategy has never looked so good, and with Kieran proving yet again that he is close to being crowned king of Indy qualifying, the possibility of a repeat 1-2 of the same driver line up in 2003 for this track is looking great.

After the mistake ridden disaster of the Nurburgring and the setup failure of Canada I need a result. If my front tyres hold up then Im backing myself for something special! Can't have Lock beating me again!!"

Team Boss - Andy Graydon

"After the recent results and expectations I really am saying nothing about Indy, other that that we are very positive about our chances of achieving a good result for the team here.

Kieran has done a fantastic job so far in his first event for the team, and I hope he can continue his form into the race.

Daniel has also come up with a strategy that will, I have no doubts, put him right up there. The bonus is that he appears to have resolved some of the problems he has had in the last two events.

Overall, we are quite optimistic of giving the top drivers a run for their money around the Indy circuit. The Michelins seem to be sticking with us at this track, so I think we can challenge the Bridgestone runners in the race itself".
