Kari Koski chatted about the German GP and his teams challenge for 2nd in the Constructors Championship

On the German GP:-

?Before German GP I was a bit worried about our speed at the long straights at Hockenheim. Then after few laps I was getting more confident we can be in good shape and was going in optimistic mood to qualifying. Looking my sector 1 and sector 2 times I was really up there too, but lost way too much time on stadium section, but again Steve showed how fast our car really is. So I was again a bit worried for the race as I was loosing so much time on the last sector and I though that can be a real problem for me at the race. But when race went on car was feeling very good and I was lapping consistent lap times and my first stint was pretty good. Then on 2nd stint car was sliding a lot and I made a bunch of slow lap times and I was getting very frustrated about I was going to ruin my race again. Then on last stint car was good again and I was pushing very hard towards the end to get back the lost time on 2nd stint. Unfortunately while I was chasing Kieran Ryan I made stupid mistake with 2 laps to go and braked too late on one corner that the stadium section and went wide. Got back to track but lost about 6-7 seconds there and Whiteman was able to pass me. Without that mistake I think it would have been good fight till the line with Ryan and maybe, just maybe, I could have been 4th. Anyway it was good race after all, although that mistake did cost me at least one place and some important points on both champs as Whiteman was able to pass me.?

?Hungaroring will be very tough I?m sure of that. We need to find good setup and do as much laps as possible before the race. I hope I can score more points there, but it will be very tough, but we will see.?

On the Constructors Championship challenge:-

FinOz Racing as set their aim for 2nd place in constructors championship after good points scoring positions again at German GP few days ago.

?Of course it will be very hard and ambitious target for us. But looking our past 5 races we have scored 8 points more than EIRE (FinOz 41, EIRE 33) and only Mapes-VO team has scored more points than we have (44 points). Some races ago it was looking like we would be fighting with Phoenix F1 over 3rd place, but now we have set our eyes to 2nd placed EIRE.?

?Hungary will be tough race for us as we have very little experience from that track. But after Hungary we get tracks like Monza, Spa-Francorchamps and Magny-Cours which should suit better for our car and for our drivers, so things should be quite good for us for the rest of the calendar after Hungary.?
