EiRE - Jaguar started preperations for the 2005 season a short while ago.

A new car is being developed and talks with various drivers, including current drivers Whiteman and Loram have started. Peter Grooff is doing tests with new parts on this years EiRE until the 2005 chassis is ready. The 2005 EiRE will be a totally new design.

Although this years car is very fast, there were still issues with especially the reliability. With what engine EiRE will drive next year is not yet clear, but Willy Ponissi assured that it will be a powerfull one. Ponissi: "Basically, the plan for 2005 is to win both championships. We want to keep the current organisation and get 2 fast drivers, which may include Whiteman." Ponissi also told us that: "An EiRE team should be fully up and running in the GPC in 2005."

The EiRE base is currently being moved from Rodano, Italy to Utrecht in the Netherlands. The developments for the 2005 EiRE is still going on, although mainly done by the EiRE test team.

Whether current drivers Whiteman and Loram stay with EiRE in 2005 is not decided yet. Ponissi said: "I can't tell you right now, since we don't know yet."

There are still 5 races left in the 2004 season and 3 drivers can still be Champion, including Scott Whiteman powered by the EiRE - Jaguar. A lot of steering wheel problems kept Whiteman from good results in the last GP's though.

Ponissi: "We are still working to ensure Scott gets a competitive car for the rest of the season. We have been hampered with undeserved bad luck so far, so we really hope to turn things around."
