The initial 2005 Simsoa model (with 2004 engine, gearbox and CPUs) has been transported to the Suzuka circuit in Japan in the cover of darkness.

At about 4am, the trucks from the team factory delivered its payload of 2 brand-new SA-04Ts - in all black liveries. This simple colour scheme seems to hide most of the car's more detailed components, but it is clear from the general outline that it is a very clear evolution of the SA-03V. Only the team's Media department were allowed to take pictures of the cars as they tentatively took to the track. However, one picture was released to the general Japanese press (see below) in order to stave off the ever-crowding paparazzi outside the circuit grounds.

Despite this, a few lucky fans were allowed to join the Simsoa team for the day as part of the team's campaign to bring F1 closer to its diehard fans! As they managed to get a good look at the car and its new features, they were able to meet the 'Dynamic Duo' of Javier Aparicio and David Brown during their lunch break. David was reported to have said to one of the eager fans "...playtime is over. Next year we must produce the goods, so we`ll let our driving do the talking." Apt words from the British talent!

From the looks of the team's progress, it is expected that the team's launch of the SA-04V will be sometime in late January/ early February. We will bring you more as it comes.
