Mark Wicks won an exhilarating French Grand Prix to extend his and Woods Racing's lead on top of both World Championships. The Cornish driver drove home in front of Romania's Laurentiu Albu, who consolidates his runner-up spot in the rankings.

The podium is completed by Scott Whiteman on Nordsjoen Racing. Several drivers failed to take the track, notably Mal McKee, who was seen, however, in the company of his son Luke, one of the possible candidates to occupaying Synergetic's second seat. This race also recorded William Ponissi's first absence from the field, after a long string of consecutive point finishes.

The Championship is set to return soon with the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.
