Silverstone is a magic place for racing and, as the GPVWC arrives for the third pre-season testing session, the atmosphere in the paddock is one of thrill and excitement. Never before has a pre-season been so packed with anticipation, and as the first race in Melbourne approaches, teams are still loth to show their cards. In Silverstone, they'll get a chance to do it in a particular way.

With all 12 teams expected to take part in the test, the GPVWC Administration has announced that, in order to clear any doubt regarding the acquisition of RD points, only timed laps will be counted towards the Development improvements. This measure has been taken to promote actual long-run testing as opposed to short, time-setting hotlapping. "It is a measure that will really add the spirit of pre-season testing to the league - one where the big winner is not who does fast laps, but the one who clocks up the miles".

This session will also see the presence of a Race Director - Head Steward Mike Phillis - who will interact with drivers and instruct them to respect the same rules to be expected on raceday. Furthermore, soon after the test, Team Managers and Drivers will be able to receive the 2010 Superleague rules, and will receive information regarding the Research & Development process. The time of equal cars... is over.
