The Supercup got to Mexico for another incredible race that inflamed the Championship rankings - providing assurance of an explosive end of season. Liam Hatchell racked up another pole in qualifying, with Williamson edging out Lichtenstein, Mark Stanton and new teammate Wagner for 2nd.

Stanton got a good start and got up the inside of Hatchell at T1, while Williamson slipped back leaving Lichtenstien 3rd and battling hard with Millar. Stanton and Hatchell swapped places several times before Stanton span, dropping the Constant driver to the back of the field. Lichtenstein quickly closed in on Hatchell and used his straightline speed advantage to take the lead.

Attrition took its toll with Millar, Wagner, Evangelidakis and Stanton all forced to retire in separate accidents in the space of a few laps. Hatchell later span and limped home with a badly damaged car, which allowed Lichenstein to cruise to an easy win ahead of Muscat and Williamson.
