Nijo Racing today revealed more details at a specially convened meeting at the Oulton Park circuit, just a few miles away from the team's new Cheshire base. After weeks of speculation and several drivers having been touted as possible contenders for the race seats, team leader Chris Williamson unveiled his 2011 Superleague drivers as Ashley Walsh and Tom Parker. Williamson himself will compete for the team in the test/reserve driver role, having chosen to focus his driving efforts on this year's Supercup

Mr Williamson was said to be very pleased with his driver lineup for 2011. "I feel we have quite a strong lineup now and hopefully we can spring a few surprises despite being a new team in the championship. Signing Ashley is quite a coup for the team as he raised my eyebrows with his pace during pre-season tests last season, before unfortunately being forced to take a sabbatical. However he's now come back refreshed and brings a lot of experience in this type of cars. As for Tom, I've raced alongside him for quite a while now, including at ST Racing last season. He's a strong performer and it's been great to see him develop into the potential star he is now."

The team however were more tight-lipped when it came to engine suppliers. Due to the team's strong links with Japan many have speculated that the team will joining with a Japanese engine supplier, but this was denied by Williamson. "At the moment we are keeping our options open and have ongoing discussions with several manufacturers". The team did however reveal their prototype version of the NR11 car which will be used in the upcoming pre-season test. The 2010-style car came complete with a special one-off winter testing livery.
