European Williamson Dynamics have announced that promising young German, Tim-Oliver Wagner, will be taking the team's remaining Superleague race seat. The move sees Wagner promoted rapidly through the team after a promising first season, but also leaves the team somewhat lacking in top level experience according to some critics.

The team were quick to refute these concerns as utterly baseless, pointing out both that Wagner's team-mate, Ojay Clark, has two years race experience already and that Wagner himself enjoyed a wave making debut season. During the press conference, director of team operations - Marco Vandenbroeck also attempted to allay any concerns, and pointed out that he felt strongly that with the right test drivers and the support of the team both young drivers could become a force to be reckoned with in 2011.

Wagner himself was confident enough, and visibly pleased to have secured a drive for the whole season. Adding that he was very much looking forward to partnering Ojay Clark, the young German went on to state;

"I'm very pleased that the team has decided to sign me for a complete season. It is great being a part of Williamson Dynamics and after the nice teamwork in the few races 2010 I competed in, I'm looking forward to work with the team for the complete 2011 season. The work done so far is more than promising, we all are keen and cant wait to see the 2011 season starting and we will surely make some surprises!"

In closing, Team Principal Ben Williamson took the podium to state his position;

"I, and all on the board at WD, are extremely excited to be able to field two such promising drivers. We are all confident both will establish themselves as major players in the sim racing world in the season to come, and we are proud to be the team they have chosen to work with. Tim had a great start with us last season and after only a short while I was very keen to keep him onboard going forward. In Tim and Ojay, we have two very talented and promising young drivers, and if there is one thing we believe most strongly in at Williamson Dynamics, its supporting and developing new and promising drivers."

Wagner's appointment does still come as something of a surprise, with the driver previously being committed to WD umbrella team, Orangetech racing for a development season before moving forward. This rapid promotion to one of the team's most important drives is a sure sign of confidence, and one that is sure to draw the attention of many - critics and supporters alike.

Williamson was keen to add that the quality of all applicants was exceptionaly high, various sources linked Wayne Mullins, Gavin Thomas and Blair Disley with the seat, all of which Williamson conceded were drivers of real quality.

As previously reported, the team has indeed moved to confirm its race drivers ahead of its official car launch in January, something which will please partners, sponsors and fans alike.
