The worst kept secret in the GPVWC is finally out. Woods Racing manager Ollie Woods today held a press conference to announce his second race driver for the 2011 season, and it wasn't exactly a surprise.

"I'm so pleased to finally announce our completed lineup today," began the rather bearded and red-eyed team principal, "after a night of solid negotiations and a lot of cans of a certain caffeineated drink. We knew that this driver wanted to drive for us and it wasn't about the money at all; he just wanted assurances on the team and the league that we could finally give him now, after our successful test driver negotiations and sponsor portfolio. Suffice to say you know he is... I can confirm thatKieran Ryanwill be in the number 4 car for 2011.

"Kieran was a brilliant influence on the team in 2010. He came into the team after a hairy 2009 where our second seat was all over the place; who can forget DCS being the hero in Australia and then the villain in Mexico? In fact, I distinctly remember him offering himself to us which was a surprise and also a pleasure; sorry Michelangelo! He immediately clicked with Wicksy and they were a formidable team last year as well as rivals on track. I'm extremely pleased to have the dream team back on board and it will be great to see how far we can go this year against tough opposition."

Woods also revealed a little bit about the sponsors for the year. "Needless to say, we've got a strong package which has aided our drive to refine the chassis and our equipment, as well as paying beer money to the drivers. I don't want to go into who we've got just yet but I hope to have some really great sponsors to make the car stand out even more than usual. I'm also really proud to say that our engine negotiations - or lack of them - have ended and we'll announce all that soon."
