Ben Williamson, team owner of European Williamson Dynamics Grand Prix was among many high-profile presences at a recent GPVWC media confernce, aimed at drawing in a new audience to the GPVWC competitions.

Williamson was able to speak at some length, and with great enthusiasm about the treats in store for motosport fans this season: "As a team owner, things havent gone all that smoothly for sure. The WDF1.11 already having to be replaced with a new chassis design after the regulations change for one thing. But, as a racing fan things couldn't be much better."

Sentiments echoed by present members of the GPVWC administration who nodded sagely in agreement, before Williamson continued; "Of all the sim racing competitions being broadcasted in 2011, I truly believe GPVWC will provide the best entertainment value to the viewer. Other series fall down, because the same two or three drivers dominate endlessly thanks to homologated chassis. Here the variation in the cars, engines and drivers has always been an exciting mix, but 201 is going to surpass anything that has come before in terms of raw excitement" stated the Lancastrian, before continuing; "Many teams like to tlak confident in the pre-season, helping with sponsorship deals and it's easy to talk big before anything is really known, but this season is very much different, most teams are feeling confident going into the season. This year's driver field may be the best, and most evenly balanced I've ever seen, the engine deals make for interesting reading and I'm really at a loss to even begin to contemplate were each team fits in.

"This season is truly beyond too close to call, every team has more than one strength.. all of them truly have a shot at taking home points. I really think the fine work of the GPVWC administration has freally paid off and given fruit this season after many years of refining and dedication, and I'd like to personally thank and congratulate them on such an excellent job. Additionally, I'd like to thank my fellow team managers, for their extra efforts in engaging the press and media.. its made this a very exciting pre-season period. I would advise everyone to go out, find some beer, order a pizza, invite your friends and settle in to watch the opening round, it's going to be awesome!"
