During a press conference earlier this morning, Computrac team owner and commentator Marco Vandenbroeck announced he will be retiring from commentating and managing the team. However, the team will be still going on through the season untill the end of this year. We were with Marco Vandenbroeck and gave him some questions for him to answer.

Q. Marco, please give us the reason of this effect.

MV. As I am busy in other things of life, I would not want to let team and staff down for my absence, in this way I will remove myself from my tasks as both manager and commentator for the reason of Real life commitments.

Q. Regards to this year, will anything change?

MV. Well, as for the commentating part I will try to be there when I can, although due to the busy shedule Iwill have to pass out a lot more. For the team, they will still get my full support as Iwill provide updates when I have the points ready. We are ending the team this year, which means the updates can be done without having to look to the money of next year which is a plus point somewhat. Designing, I have been a bit out of imagination to paint things, I am painting since 2002 and I start to notice my paint schemes are getting quite outdated, although I will try and see to get these new technologies through my absence for sure.

Q. What might we expect from you in 2012?

MV. As far as I know I will be trying to drive in GPVWC, although that is not a good goal, I will try to see for some touring cars as they interest me more lately.

As we see Mr. Vandenbroeck will still be around in the GPVWC paddock, although not as active as we have seen in 2010 and the start of 2011.
