European Williamson Dynamics endured a forgettable visit to the Red Bull Ring with the team failing for the first time to get a car into Q2. Teemu Toikka made his superleague debut for the outfit, as a short notice replacement for Tim-Oliver Wagner who is still out of action, and despite the team's weak showing the Finn impressed team principal, Ben Williamson in what many consider to be an evaluation drive with a view to a potential Supercup drive in 2012.

"We can't thank Teemu enough for joining us for the race on such short notice. the whole team has been impressed by his drive, commitment and positive attitude and considering he had no previous experience, it was his first time ever in a Williamson Dynamics chassis and he had no time to prepare, I personally feel his laptimes were more than respectable. We will remain in close contact after this, and we hope to continue our professional relationship." stated Williamson in a post-race statement.

Something the Scot may not have been so happy to discuss was the team's lacklustre performance which Williamson attributed to numerous issues; "Primarily, I see this as evidence that we have fallen behind our rivals in terms of pure development, something we intend to work very hard to turn round in the next few weeks. Additionally, the set up of the car did not go as well as we hoped and it seems despite our belief the car was suited well to this track, we have been proven wrong. However, our aero numbers and upcoming developments leave us confident of a turn around in France, and we especially look forward to Silverstone, always a special occasion for us."

The next round will see driving duties fall to one of the team's biggest signings of the 2011 season, Tom Eley, who replaced Columboan Camilo Andres Nino as the team's director of Race Engineering an dcomes with a solid reputation as a driver and set up specialist.

"Tom can teach us a lot about the car and help us get the most from it, we also feel his knowledge will help Ojay push for podiums. we're very excited to see this partership blossom."
