Heading to the bright lights of Singapore for the final round of the 2011 GPVWC Supercup season, the newly crowned champion Bart De Vos and the rest of the paddock would hope to celebrate what has been an extremely entertaining season. The Supercup has again been a resounding success, seeing the likes of De Vos and Pavel Loknovski quickly make the jump to regular Superleague drivers, whilst others have firmly put themselves in the shopping window for 2012 Superleague teams to maybe show an interest.

In an interesting turn of events, De Vos, his Malta Force teammate Lewis Redshaw, and Pavel Loknovski all decided in the spirit of competition, and for a bit of a challenge, to not take part in qualifying and to start from the back of the grid. This gave the opportunity for some slightly more unheralded to challenge for pole position, and it was Kernow Sport driver Tom Parker who took his first ever GPVWC pole position, ahead of Nordsjoen Racing driver Ben Warren, taking a career best 2nd place on the grid. David Jundt, who was hoping to be able to leapfrog Redshaw for 3rd in the championship took the same position on the grid, ahead of Ojay Clark, Jason Muscat and Ryan Walker.
