A video has leaked on the internet showing footage of Kernow
Sports first Superleague car doing laps of the Castle Combe race circuit [it's
the closest track facility to the teams St. Austell base]. It's a short video
showing some on-board and trackside shots of the Cornish teams challenger
[driver unknown] and will give rival teams a chance to study some of
Piotrowski's (Chief Designer) work.

Displaying a fairly plain yellow-gold and black livery, with
a KS logo affixed, the 'as yet to be officially unveiled' car took to the track
for its preliminary shakedown. Unofficial word-of-mouth has the car potentially
called the MW1. As no engine supplier has yet been confirmed by the team it
appears the short test session was conducted using a year old power-plant kindly
donated by an existing team.

Normal'>When approached by this journalist Wicks was amazed there
was even a video out there. Clearly he had no knowledge of its existence.

'This is news to me. For real? [Yup.] Well yes it's true we had
a short private test. Just to get the new systems bedded in, sort out the power
steering etc etc and make final preparations before heading to Jerez next week.
My main priority this week though is signing an engine deal for the season. It
looks like it will be tough to sign a top manufacturer. We're currently
considering all possibilities of who to hook up with. But I will get Tremayne
[Jane; PR Officer] on to finding out how this video made it to the web and
who's responsible. I'm not impressed.'

The Kernow Sport team has been roundly tipped to impress in
its debut season, in particularly new signing Cattell, who some see as a dark
horse and potential champion. The team's new car certainly shows signs that
their design department is full of ideas and pushing as hard as they can. Front
wing detailing is very complex and this is rumoured to be one of Piotrowski's
areas of strength so that should be no surprise.

So now that we've had our first glimpses of a new team
on-track with their very first home-built chassis, it will be interesting to
see who they agree a deal with to supply them with engines. We should find that
out within the next few days.
