With just a week to go before the first test of the 2012 pre-season,
it is expected that a few last minute deals will be put in place, however
Midnight Motorsport caught the paddock by surprise when they announced a range
of high level sponsorship deals, personnel acquisitions and supplier contracts
which should see them leapfrog a number of favorites for the upcoming season.



The team announced its driver lineup at the tail end of last year,
with a press conference in December revealing that German ace Lukas Euler would
be partnering experienced team manager Nick Rowland in the second of the two
Midnight machines; Alex Cooper was then unveiled as the first of the team?s two
reserve drivers, the young Brit demonstrating his abilities earlier this week
in a shakedown test at Jerez. Today Midnight Motorsport unveiled the second of
their two reserve drivers as experienced racer Simon Melhuish
