Following the recent announcement that British driver Toby Jones would not be driving for Hatchell-Pennine in the Formula Challenge in 2012, news has been revealed that fellow Brit James Charman is to fill the empty seat at the Manchester-based squad.

"I am very pleased to reveal James Charman as a driver for the team this year. James has already shown great promise in communicating with us and him and Ihab are getting on already. I think I have brought together a great team here!" Liam Hatchell, H-PM CEO said.

It is understood that Charman races in another series and is expected to attend all except three or four events in 2012, however both drivers are set to take part in the first event at Brands Hatch, Kent UK, on the 29th February 2012.
