Meeting interviewers after the Chinese Grand Prix, Roy Schroten expressed his happiness about his results.

Roy: "My goal was to qualify as 10th, and actualy had a fantastic qualify, starting 8th. At the start I was able to move up to 2nd, and after the hairpin at the back straight of the circuit I actually drove in the lead for the first time in my GPVWC career. I never had thought that would happen after being three seconds too slow a day before. Unfortunately I forgot to change the radiator size, having some trouble with the engine temperature, and after a few laps I got massive braking problems. And having a two stop stratagy didn't work as well." After a race of ups and downs Roy finished as 8th, taking his first points of the season.

ives me a good feeling after the bad race at Melbourne. Instead of going upside-down, I now drove second after 500 meter! The team has been great for helping me this race and helping me getting a good setup. I'm really looking forward to the next race at Abu Dabhi. I never drove there before so that is going to be very interesting."
