Today Green Stripes Racing manager Christoph Lichtenstein announced that that team would debut a brand new evolution of its car at round four of the Superleague championship in Hungary.

Lichtenstein stressed that whilst the car is an evolution rather than a scratch-built machine, it has been so heavily revised in comparison to the original specification that the team has taken the decision to brand it the GSR-SL-01B.

Lichtenstein added that he is pleased with the team?s progress thus far this season stating:?Surely Melbourne was a disaster for us, but both Matt and I had good races in China where we were able to post competitive lap times and compete against rivals such as Gavin Thomas, who had more extensive developments relative to our team.

Unfortunately I will be unable to compete in Abu Dhabi and as such it is my pleasure to announce that, after long deliberations with our commercial partners, Chris Allen will take to the wheel on race day alongside Matt Clipp. I would like to thank Dave Carr-Smith for his input and the ideas that he has brought to the team so far; he has had a great boost on morale.

We expect to be knocking on the door of the established points scorers in Hungary with this revised package, this of course would be a huge achievement for our team so early in our Superleague endeavors.?
