Woods Racing boss Ollie Woods today faced the media after an interesting first two races for the team in 2012. After a stunning drive to take sixth place in Melbourne on debut, young gun Tom Parker retired from the Chinese Grand Prix in an incident-packed race. Meanwhile, Kieran Ryan, the stalwart of the team, failed to finish in Melbourne after an altercation and then finished just out of the points in Shanghai. Woods had this to say:

"It's frustrating that we have had decent pace in the last two races and yet only come away with one points paying finish. A lot of this has been through no fault of the drivers themselves, but I know some people say that you make your own luck! Hopefully this will be the last we see of any bad luck this season.I'm pleased with the development of the car thus far. We still have some work to do to catch up to other teams but I believe we have more help coming in Abu Dhabi. Frankly it hurts every time that another team quotes their biggest rivals and we're not on that list! We know we have the pace and the drivers to do well and we will be looking to hook the two up together from now on."Woods was also concerned by the absence of Supercup driver Dan Rusu in the past two races there, vowing to investigate the circumstances as reliability has always been important to the Southampton-based team. When asked about his own performances in Formula Challenge he looked glum and declined to comment, instead praising Scott Moore for "brilliant dedication and speed in a championship where it's clear some drivers should be driving in higher leagues".
