Draig Racing announced today that they have decided to promote current 3rd driver Keith Storrie to official race driver for the Hungarian Grand Prix and possibly the forseeable future.

This will come as a shock to many but Draig Racing would like to state that this was a mutual decision with Walker.

Ryan has been struggling this season to fully adapt to the mod and with internal pressure to perform on a tight budget Draig Racing feel its better for Ryan to step down, take a break or even move teams should Ryan feel the need to.

The first signs of problems came at the Chinese Superleague Grand Prix when Ryan Walker suffered Technical problems but rumours came about that all was not well in the Draig camp.

With Keith Storrie's inpressive debut in China pressure mounted on the Draig Racing number 2 too perform and after a poor showing in Abu Dhabi Ryan Walker seems to have hit an all time low in his Superleague Career.

Ryan's teammate Lee Morris who is currently acting team manager for the Draig Outfit had this to say on the matter;

'For a while now i have noticed that Ryan has not been himself, he seems slightly out of sync with things, we need a driver to be fully committed to the team and the goals we want to achieve but i think Ryan's current state of mind does not reflect this, i hope Ryan can solve these issues and find a new team if thats what he wants to do as when he is on form he is a credit to any team, his level of committment is second to none and i can only wish him all the best in what he chooses to do with his future, i just dont think Draig racing is for Ryan as his motivation seems low but pressure is high and for this kind of environment you need to be 100 % committed'

Ryan also passed comment on his feelings;

'Thanks to Mike for giving me another chance with Draig racing this season and to Lee for helping advise me on setup and driving technique, i have learnt alot that will benefit me for the future as i never knew certain aspects before. i wish Draig Racing the best of luck for the rest of the season and im sure Keith will be a great replacment as he has shown well in testing'

With the announcment made this gives Keith Storrie the chance to shine, and if his China performance was anything to go by people should realy watch out for the middle aged rookie.
