Epic Motorsport have confirmed that Simon Sheasby and Richard Bayes will drive for the new team in this year's World Sport Series. The announcement has come just over a week after the team was confirmed as one of five new teams that will line up on the grid in Hungary for the opening round of the enw-for-2012 series. It's a line up that team manager Lee Davidson has expressed his excitement over.

"It's great to have both Simon and Rich join the squad. I've known Simon for a number of years now and is a capable driver who I can trust to be able to bring her home, hopefully with some points! As for Rich, he's a bit of an unknown quantity to me but I am aware he has driven in both the Superleague and Supercup previously, hopefully his single seater skills can transfer to the Porsche in no time at all. Ultimately I think we have a perfect line up for us to grow as a team and gain respectability during our first year."

Briton Simon Sheasby has previous racing experience on the Live for Speed platform where he drove for the team's previous incarnation, Epic Racing. Although he hasn't raced for a couple of years, he's looking forward to the season, being quoted "I'm excited to be on board and thrilled to feature for Epic Motorsport,
Looking forward to getting behind the wheel and linking up with Lee and
Rich"

Meanwhile, Australian Rich Bayes is a more recognisable name having driven in Supercup in 2010 for Draig Racing, and before that the Masters with Constant. He also has a number of Superleague appearances to his name. Upon confirmation of his drive via the team's Twitter account, he said "Excited to be on board, looking forward to getting behind the wheel for a team with amazing structure and management!".

Lee Davidson has also confirmed that current Supercup driver Scott Woodwiss will handle Reserve Driver duties should either Simon or Rich be unavailable for any reason.
