Scott Woodwiss was today announced as Draig Racing's official 4th driver.Scott will be the team's second official test driver alongside Dale Carrick and his role will be focused towards research and development within the team.

Feeling he still has something to prove within GPVWC after a somewhat troubled few races in the Supercup series, Woodwiss feels that joining Draig he can learn from the teams wealth of experience.

Current team manager Lee Morris agreed with Woodwiss and had this to say about Scott;

"Before Scott messaged me the team were not really looking for another driver, as losing Ryan Walker put a big dent in our funding, but when Scott became available and sent me a message telling me of his desire to be a better driver and prove to people that he is better than he looked in Supercup we could not pass on the opportunity. Scott is a fantastic person to have in the team, he is a very motivating person to work with and, as people may have noticed in his commentary, he is very analytical which is great when it comes to testing feedback. I'm sure Scott will thrive with Draig Racing and we can really show what a talent he is on track and not just in the commentary booth"

When asked how he felt joining the team Scott has this to say;

"It feels great to be joining a front-running team such as Draig Racing and to be joining a line-up of drivers that includes, in my opinion, one of the best and most experienced sim racers out there in Lee Morris. I feel there is a lot to learn from everyone on the team and I know that by applying the knowledge gained, I can accelerate my development as a driver with this testing role. With what's in store for the upcoming races, this team's progress looks set to increase further and I feel privileged to be able to help them shape the outcome of their season."

Asked what his motives were for joining the team and his ambitions within the team were Scott replied with;

"As stated, I will be using this role not only to help the team in the developing the car to close the gap to the frontrunners, but also to aid my progress as a driver. Of course at this time it's too early to say if and when I will be given a race drive this season, but I'm hopeful that my contribution to Draig's effort to win the Superleague championship will at least go some way to helping them achieve that goal. The target, however, is to eventually secure myself a race seat. How soon that will be remains to be seen, but I will be giving 100% in my testing role to ensure I give myself the best possible chance."

"It feels good to be back in a driving role in the GPVWC again. My short hiatus due to personal commitments was rather abrupt but I feel as if my situation is beginning to balance out, which has now allowed me to take up this opportunity. I know, however, that I must walk before I can run, so to speak, so I will make sure to slowly build up the amount of track time I have from here on out without pushing myself too much this early on."
