With the shock announcement that Joe Consiglio will no longer be taking part in the GPVWC Superleague series, historic rival Lee Morris was as suprised as anyone - but possibly more dissapointed. The Englishman felt like commenting the news.

"When I arrived home today and saw the announcement I was extremley shocked by this; however, in some respects I had an idea that this was going to happen. Like myself, Joe likes to be at the peak with his sim racing exploits and not being able to do this in 2012 was really showing through in his driving and results."

"He seemed to be making more mistakes then usual and he just didn't seem happy like he normally is" continued the Draig Racing ace, "win or lose, Joe is a guy you can count on to not be like me or other people, he will always be a nice guy, no matter what."

"I'm extremely sad to see Joe go, I really am, he is one of the reasons I quit FSR and other leagues to race in GPVWC as racing with him gave me so much pleasure and enjoyment. We really did some amazing things together and I think that is a credit to him as a driver, no matter who won the battles he would always message me and say how brilliant it was and how proud he was to be racing with me, putting on this kind of show for the fans. Of course the feeling was mutual"

Lee then concluded: "As a person Joe is the kind of team mate everyone dreams of; I imagine because he is just such a nice guy, I never had a bad word to say against him and I hope he feels the same way of me, he is a true gentleman more than I could ever be - if there is one person people should look up to as a role model driver it would be Joe. I'd just like to say thank you to Joe for the fantastic memories he has given me - I will never forget the battles I had with you, I really hope we can race in the future as this feels too early for us to say goodbye."
