The 2012 GPVWC season has come to an end and Torrent Motorsports claimed both the drivers and constructors titles in the Supercup and Formula Challenge. Torrent had already claimed the World Sports Series earlier this season.

Petter Kaasa claimed the Supercup drivers' title at the last round in Japan; with the help of Rickard Hellsten, Mindaugas Klumbis & Jim Parisis over the season, Torrent claimed the constructors' title in the same race.

Jim Parisis claimed the Formula Challenge drivers' title after a strong season, winning in the end by 84 points. Torrent wrapped up the constructors' title at around the mid-point of the season, Ari Nieminen, Giorgos Manousakis & Borna Spoljaric all contributed to the points table that at the close of the season Torrent won the title by over 400 points.

Simon Melhuish, Torrent Motorsports Team Manager said: "I am so happy we managed to claim all these titles in our first year at GPVWC. All our guys put in some hard work to pull it off.

It's a shame with rules coming in for the next season that we won't be trying to defend the titles due to our possible entry into the Super League as it's always nice to show off our hard work by running the number 1 and 2 on our cars.

I would also like to wish Giorgos a speedy recovery after suffering a heart attack a month or so ago. He helped us a lot in the mid-season when our regular driver Ari was unable to race"
