GPVWC Administration has given Kernow Sport the green light to become a full constructor in Superleague from 2013.

This means the Cornish squad can now produce and use their home-built brand of Krevder engines next season; as well as being allowed to sell them to other teams for use. Sold units will be of identical specification to the factory teams: upgrades throughout the year-long campaign will be applied immediately to any customer power plants.

This announcement has also shone-light on the well-kept secret development in 2012 of the Krevder engine. The idea of building an in-house Cornish engine first arose during a team management discussion back in February 2012. Team Manager Mark Wicks immediately setup a planning and development team. The first power plant breathed life in August later that year, but themid seasonblues for the team saw the whole engine development process paused, as the staff had to divert attention back to the shortcomings of the 2012 car. This, however, basically means the 2013 Krevder engines are almost finished and ready to go: which means being one-step ahead of our new rival engine contructors already. The team are just awaiting the publication of the final regulations for 2013 before making any final adjustments to the engine, and therefore putting it on sale.

The name Krevder was chosen to reflect what sort of engines we want to build. Krevder is the Cornish word for "power and might", so it should give everyone a good indication as to what it's strengths should be. We urge any 'customer' teams to consider deeply whether this philosophy is what they seek with a purchased power plant and if so then Kernow's Krevder engines will be ideal for you. As a team we have the resources and commitment to supply our customers with superior, reliable technology with which they can achieve their goals, however grand, however modest, and at reasonable cost financially.

We will be happy to supply all comers from whichever ends of the grid and work with our technical partners in improving our products to better both our performances. We look forward too, and welcome, any questions and in-put from customers interested in our Krevder product.
