Literally tens of people flocked to the Leisure Centre in Kendal, Cumbria,
to witness the Hawkeye Racing driver line-up announcement by team principle Ric
Scott.

The Hawkeye boss left journalists waiting outside for several minutes
after the supposed time of the announcement, whilst he filled up the remaining
beakers of fizzy pop, to go with his wonderful array of Viennese biscuits, Jammy
Dodger?s and Curly Wurly?s.

After a brief moment of snacking, the press conference
started...

?Last year was our first season in the Superleague for 11 years, so it was
more about learning and making sure we were in a good position for 2013. A
strong end to the year helped us clinch third in the constructors, much better
than we had expected and it?s put us in a strong position for the 2013 season.

The two drivers that will be competing this year for Hawkeye Racing are
Lewis Redshaw and Bart de Vos. Lewis had a great year for us last season and I?m
glad to keep hold of him. We expected regular points finishes from him in his
first year and he delivered, with some great performances especially towards the
end of the year. Lewis is still improving and I?m very excited to see him in
action this year.

Bart had a difficult start to the 2012 season with several DNFs due to
technical issues which contributed to him leaving the team and racing for
Nordsjoen. He showed his talent with three fifth places in the final three rounds. I
have no doubt that Bart will have a much better start this time round.

I?m sure this year will be a lot more competitive and fighting for
victories may be asking too much but I hope our talented drivers can ruffle some
feathers up front and keep the likes of Midnight and Nordsjoen on their toes. I
think retaining third in the constructors championship would be seen as a great
achievement for us and I don?t think it?s an unrealistic target.?
