The Superleague team is looking to fill the gap left by Simon Crain's departure by advertising for one of the last remaining spots on the grid

Mark Fuller, ST Racing manager, called a press conference at the team's Chandler's Ford headquarters this morning. He announced that due to a breakdown in negotiations for a reserve/test driver, the team was opening the negotiations to any interested driver.

Fuller said. "Our initial reserve driver, Simon Crain, had contractual difficulties between us and his then current commitments. This meant that he has unable to guarantee to being able to attend all events. Further contratcual negotiations with other interested drivers have also broken down.

"With the increased importance of the current R & D regulations and our commitment to our engine suppliers in helping to develop the Trinity engine, I need to ensure that we have a full complement of committed drivers.

"I am therefore opening our negotiations out to all interested drivers who have a racing licence and can show a sim racing pedigree. The successful applicant will need to be able to show that they will be able to commit to the team for the season and will get to race at four major races. I hope to announce who the successful driver will be able at 0800 hrs on Thursday 7th February. Thank you."
