The Midnight Motorsport drivers report on their day of testing in San Marino at the sunny Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari.

No.1 - LUKAS EULER, GER

"We successfully got the Imola test behind us. Jamez started off very well early in the morning and I was to follow him during the day. At the start of the session we suffered small problems with the braking, as there was a small issue in the rear of the car. Nevertheless we got that sorted pretty fast and were therefore able to complete the test without any further issues.

During the run, more cars joined the track, but it was still very quiet out there and perfect weather. We collected some valuable information on the primes and on the engine settings today, which will help us to further improve our car coming Jerez and especially Melbourne. Alex is due to test this afternoon and I hope to hear from him, how he likes the progresses on the car.

Looking forward to next week, we should be able to collect a lot of good data about wet conditions, as the forecast is quite clear on that. That should feed us with some more information and could be very important for the rest of the season."

No.2 - ALEX COOPER, GBR

"We finally got some running in warm and sunny conditions today. I was expecting the tyres to feel a little different, but surprisingly they behaved exactly like they did at Hockenheim which is nice, no nasty surprises. As usual the first part of the stint was just about cruising and making sure everything felt right; like the previous two tests everything ran like clockwork. Degradation was lower than I expected, so I pushed a little harder towards the end of my stint.

The times were fairly consistent, but due to the setup we were running it was hard to find tyre temperature, so I was slightly affected by that; nothing we can't fix though. Jerez next, with heavy rain forecast, it should be fun!"

No.30 - JAMEZ SHEPHERD, AUS

"Once again we've had a very successful test session. We experienced perfect weather conditions, a very quiet track, and as a result our testing programme received no interruptions. We spent more time focusing on the Prime Compound tyre today, and we are starting to make some great progress. I was able to push a lot more on the tyres than I could at Hockenheim last week, and our lap times reflect the hard work everyone in the team has put in to understanding how to get the Primes to operate to their potential.

Jerez next week looks very interesting. We'll get to spend a lot of time on the Wet Compound tyre judging by the weather forecast."
