Halcyon Racing enjoy relatively trouble free test day at Imola.
Halcyon Racing again found itself dealing with varying conditions on the third official test day for the GPVWC Superleague season.

The warm sun split the track for much of the day before turning into a light shower as the day wound down. Adam Rouse got his first chance to drive the wet compound as he found himself on track in the latter stages of the day. Philip Cullen and Georgios Davakos both avoided the shower, completing their prescribed two stint runs before the clouds rolled in.

Adam Rouse: "Tough session for me, been fighting illness all week and had to drag myself out of bed for it which was slightly annoying as I like Imola and we don't get the chance to do much around here these days.

Planned a long first stint on the prime with a chance of running the car a bit lighter than we have previously on the option tyre for the next stint but alas the weather put paid to that. So really other than getting the laps done there wasn't much to be gained, got to try the wet tyres on a greasy surface but ultimately by that point I was just waiting for it to end and with the next test forecast to be wet I think more will be gained from that."

Philip Cullen: "I really enjoyed my time on track today. It was the first opportunity to really work with the option tyre compound and it was very enjoyable to wring the neck of them around a track such as Imola. Important to get track time on the three different compounds prior to the start of the season."

"Everything went according to plan. A few little scares here and there but we definitely feel we are gaining an understanding to the basic package we have. Next week is going to be a wash-out but we will have some new pieces for the car for Melbourne which I am looking forward to seeing their impact."

Georgios Davakos: "The session at Imola went pretty smoothly just like in Hockenheim despite that this time the track was pretty much dry. Neither me nor the team faced any kind of difficulties from this event. Hopefully the team will be ready with the new upgrades before Melbourne so we can give them a shakedown in Jerez and be fully prepared for the upcoming race at Melbourne."
