Formula Challenge team Sisu Grand Prix share their views on this past week's season opening Australian GP.

1.3.13, what a fine date for a news item.

But that's not the real reason for this. We wanted to share you our thoughts about the past Australian GP of Formula Challenge.

Sure, we came in GPVWC as a newcomer team, and massively failed the debut, but that doesn't prove anything yet. I qualified 10th because I got no proper time set before I crashed in the barriers. However, I managed to rise up to 5th after the first lap, but the race got ruined 2 laps later as Doug Hilliard was a lapped driver who had no other choice but to slow down on the racing line - front wing and lots of positions lost. William Neron, however, didn't get to participate in race one due to technical difficulties. I finished 21st after all that fightback.

Race 2 was even worse: I luckily escaped the 1st corner carnage having started far back from the 21st place, but on the 3rd corner I misjudged the braking point, and ended up colliding on Ric Scott 's back-end. This time WIlliam was on the track and finished 25th.

Overall, the results were quite poor not a single point earned. Debut's can be very hard and they usually are, however, his was purely because of technical difficulties and accidents in the race. Although we didn't even have the race setups made so we would've lost our tires in the race for sure.

We'll make sure everything will go as planned for Malaysia. Hopefully we will get at least one podium finish.

On other news, the websites for Sisu GP were supposed to be released today, but they will have to delay again. Sorry about that. There's still some minor editing before it can be released.
