South African heads into Formula Challenge as MacLean moves up full-time to Supercup.

Xavier de Carvalho has replaced Jon MacLean, who moves to the GPVWC Supercup. Measuric Racing announced this last Tuesday.

Xavier will drive the remainder of the season for Measuric Racing, which had it's first podium during the Hungarian GP though the team hasn't been as lucky in the rounds afterwards. Mike Schroten hopes Xavier can change this. "Jon MacLean is a great driver, but he decided to switch to the Supercup and we support that. I would probably do the same if I was in his shoes. We hope Xavier can help us to join the front of the field again."

"I really enjoyed my time at Measuric. The car and team were always good to work with and we always had fun together", stated MacLean, "I intended to stay the whole season with them, but when Bart de Vos gave me the opportunity to drive for Fox Racing, I really couldn't say no."

So now that Jon MacLean moved to supercup, a new driver joins GPVWC: Xavier de Carvalho. "I'm very excited to join the team. This is my first season within GPVWC, but I've been simracing on professional level for 6 or 7 years now."

Is Xavier really able to score some needed points together with Riku Sarpila? We are sure they can and wish them, and Jon MacLean, good luck!
