Supercup driver Calvin Hermse is switching his focus on the 2014 season, opting to give a miss to the season finale in Brazil.
Hermse, racing driver for PPD in the Supercup, revealed that he will end the season early and not participate in the Brazilian Grand Prix.

''As a result of the issues which forced me to retire in Abu Dhabi, I won't be making it to the season finale, which is a shame, because it's one of my personal favourites.''

''At this point it just does not make any sense to rush decisions, and now we can look towards 2014, for which I will be more than ready. It's some kind of personal record, breaking three pedals in a season. In Australia, during a Formula Challenge race I lost part of my throttle input. When practising for the Austrian Grand Prix, I lost brake input, which led to another replacement, and during the Abu Dhabi race I, again, suffered from a brake pedal failure.''

''It's not like there was much on the line anyway, I've been focussing on 2014 completely, and I'm happy to say that there have been made many preparations. Also, with a couple of things on the side, I'll certainly keep myself busy the upcoming couple of weeks.''
