Racing Team Schroten announce their drivers and launch their 2014 challenger ahead of the upcoming Formula Challenge season.

Racing Team Schroten has become a regular face in all of the GPVWC championships, and the team invited the press to Zandvoort where the cars and drivers where announced from the upcoming Formula Challenge season.

On a sunny but cold Monday morning team owner Roy Schroten welcomed the press who had made the journey to the venue. He was proud to announce the drivers who will have to show their skills for the upcoming season. After two mixed years with some highs and lows, the Dutch team is once again ready to show their best side.

"We have never been so prepared for a season. The car is ready to race and the drivers can't wait for the lights to go out in Melbourne." Roy said. "Without letting you wait longer, I am proud to announce our drivers for the 2014 season. All drivers have been driving for us in the past, but never in the Formula Challenge. I am talking about Ben Warren and Mike Schroten. Both drivers already have some experience driving in the FC, and have shown some great skill last year. Both finished on the podium last year, and we are sure they are one of the best drivers out there. Of course we know the level of drivers is high in all three Career Ladder tiers, but we hope to fight for the top 5 in the standings.

Ben has driven for us in the past in the World Sport Series and has shown some great speed. I am very happy to have him with us. Mike has come back to the team after a year of absence, and I know he and Ben will work together nicely to get the best results possible.

With the new rules and the high demand of team willing to race, we need a reserve driver as well to fill in if needed. Both drivers are known to the team and have shown some good results in the past. I am talking of course about Scott Moore and Marcus Sundstrom.''

Ben Warren will drive the #5 car. ''I'm very excited about the upcoming season with Racing Team Schroten. I had a lot of fun in the few races I did in Formula Challenge last season and enjoyed some good results, so I hope to be able to achieve some similar results for RTS. I had some fun battles with my new teammate Mike last season, so I anticipate some more battles along the way with him in 2014. I'd like to thank Roy for the opportunity, and I have good feelings about the upcoming season both for myself, and the team as a whole!"

Mike Schroten will compete in the #6 car. "I am pleased to go back to RTS after driving for Wauters Automotive last season, a season in which I scored my first podium in a GPVWC race. I already drove against Ben in several leagues, but I never teamed up with him before, so that will be a whole new experience. It is great to go back to RTS after a period of absence and I am sure that Ben and Roy can help me improve on both my driving skills as well as with making setups myself."

After the driver presentations there was a chance for the media to watch the car driving on the sweeping track of Zandvoort. "The media department has be very busy with making a special intro video for the season, along with making some great photo's. The design department made a very fast stable car and painted it with the best livery we ever had." Roy says smiling proudly. "The whole team is ready for the challenges ahead, and can't wait to start."
