The first race of the season produced a battling display from Phoenix F1, which left Australia with points to show for their efforts.

Melbourne proved to be a difficult event for the Phoenix F1 team. Expectations were high, but come final Qualifying it was clear that others had pace to burn! Starting at the lower end of the grid was something not on the agenda in the teams pre-race briefing.

And at the race start Kieran Ryan hit one of those invisible walls that appear every now and then! Destroyed the car, and he'd only travelled a few metres.

That left Boyd Bryson to battle away. And battle he did. Having dislocated his shoulder the same day, he drove a fantastic race to finish P11, albeit a lap down on the leader. However, compared to our 2013 results, this shows a promising start to the season.

Malaysia is next, and we should have a stronger car there. Let's see if we can get into the top 10:).
