The Superleague stalwarts announce Jacobs to stand in for Davis in round 3 of the Championship.

Nordsjoen Racing heads to Bahrain after two challenging opening races in the season. Having claimed points in both events, expectations are high for Bahrain, a usually high-attrition race that can provide surprise results. The team is also announcing that, for this round only, test and reserve driver Thomas Jacobs will be replacing Toby Davis in the #8 car due to clashes with Davis' testing schedule.

#7 - Agustin Canapino (ARG)

"We come to Bahrain with the aim to get one back after the accident that sidelined us in Sepang. We have a considerable amount of upgrades coming for the car and we look forward to battling towards the front. Our target is to score as many points as possible on the day, stick to our strategy and have a clean race."

#8 - Thomas Jacobs (ENG)

"Being asked to fill in for Davis is slightly scary for me, I have some big shoes to fill but this is the essence of being in a top team. Superleague cars are very powerful and getting on top of the NR007 will be a challenge - especially in such a competitive field - but if I can stay out of trouble and get the car across the finish line, then I will be more than happy."

Team Principal, Will Ponissi (ITA)

"Bahrain is a track that should suit our most recent development so we are looking forward to be competitive. We know the battle at the front will be close and we aim to spoil the party for some of the teams that had the upper hand in the first rounds. Missing Toby in this round is a big blow as he is very fast but we're confident Tom will be able to bring the car home in a good position: we know his abilities and he has experience with the car from pre-season which should come in handy."
