Trinity, the engine development arm of Woods Racing, looks forward to a new high in customers this season.

During an intense bidding period Trinity negotiated with a number of teams and were pleased to sign two customers during the first round of negotiations. Nijo will once again be powered by the powerful Trinity engine after two successful years together yielding race wins in each season. Phoenix F1 are newcomers to the Trinity fold after the unfortunate collapse of Krevder last year but there is a historical link thanks to Kieran Ryan, one of Phoenix's race drivers.

These two teams were joined by two others after the second round of negotiations amid controversial circumstances. Kernow Sport continue the rich history between Woods and Mark Wicks; the team's knowledge from two years developing Krevder engines will no doubt be valuable. Target Racing return to the Trinity fold for another season too, having learned a lot from their first season in the Superleague. All in all, Trinity will supply four teams plus Woods Racing, a new high in popularity for the Southampton-based engine manufacturer.

Ollie Woods, Woods Racing team principal and Trinity CEO: "It is a pleasure to work with Nijo and Target again this year and to welcome two experienced teams in Kernow and Phoenix to the Trinity family. We pride ourselves on being able to collaborate with our customers and I know that a couple of the teams have their own research about engine development for us to look at. The regulations around the engines have changed a lot this year, especially with the lack of refuelling and the emphasis on the works team developing the engines; we will no doubt explore every avenue in our pursuit for the best engine on the Superleague grid. We are committed to doing the best we can for our partners and look forward to attempting to take the fight to Potentia in the coming season."
