How things are shaping up for Aussie outfit.

The season so far has proven frustrating in many ways, however things are beginning to look up. SRS has seen marked improvement in the results of Douwe Tapper since the Portuguese Grand Prix, while team principal William Tringas has stepped into the 68 car in order to end the season long driver crisis that the team has faced.

Lead driver Tapper has turned his season around, with 3 top tens and 5 point scoring finishes in the last 6 races, compared to the 1 top ten and 2 points finishes over the first 12 races of the season. A change in race preparations starting with the Canadian GP has resulted in more consistent pace and seems to have ignited Douwe's season, with a season best finish of 5th in Montreal kicking off a string of strong points scoring performances.

The team's reserve driver Tommi Ojala was promoted to the 2nd seat vacated by Danny Asbury for the Turkish GP, however after withdrawing from the Monaco GP sprint race and missing the Canadian GP, breaking a 47 race streak of two car entries, the decision was taken to part ways with the Finnish driver. After 2 rounds fielding a single car, team principal William Tringas decided to step into the car himself to see out the season. Tringas had the following to say about filling the 68 car's seat; "Obviously this isn't an ideal situation, however a lack of drivers willing to finish out the season has made this move necessary. Though I managed to find myself in the points somewhat regularly last time I was in the Supercup, 2 years have passed and Supercup now boasts a much higher calibre of driver. That being said, I'm not afraid of a challenge, and thats what Streetfighter is all about. My main aim is to support Douwe in any way I can and maximize his potential, so my own results aren't much of a concern."

Streetfighter Racing Systems is proud to be rasing funds for the Save The Tasmanian Devil Program Appeal. The Tasmanian Devil is an Australian icon and is at risk of extinction due to Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD). The disease has destroyed roughly 80% of the wild Devil population. In some Devil populations the decline is as high as 95%.

The Appeal raises funds that go towards research and management activities that are important to the management of DFTD and the long term survival of the Tasmanian Devil in the wild. Its efforts have helped achieve breakthroughs in the management and prevention of DFTD and so SRS will be donating a dollar to the Appeal for every point scored in their 2015 campaign, with additional amounts donated for any pole, fastest lap or podium finish. We encourage fellow competitors to make any donation that they can afford. We are proud to announce that several parties have expressed their interest in making a donation and will be making sure their efforts are acknowledged in due time. SRS has currently raised $62 dollars for the appeal.
