With Epic Racing's recent first win here at GPVWC during the Canadian round of the International Touring Cup, Team Manager Lee Davidson describes how it feels to achieve their first win at the league.
Epic Racing's manager Lee Davidson declared himself speechless after the team secured their first ever GPVWC victory with Chris Shepherd taking the chequered flag in the final race of last night's (Monday) ITC triple header which took place at Circuit Gilles VIlleneuve (Montreal). It rounded off what was arguably Epic's finest race meet with Chris' team mate Geoffrey Fournier taking the team's first outright pole position earlier in the evening.

"What a race meet, truly one that will stay in the team's history for a very long time," said Davidson "I'm truly speechless. I know sim racing has it's fair amount of surprise results but this is different because we genuinely had the pace to win, as proven by Geoffrey in qualifying. To be honest, this result has been coming, both drivers have exceeded all expectations so far this year and now this is just the cherry on top. I'm actually quite speechless, I couldn't have dreamt the championship going much better, especially with the level of competition in ITC."

The results see Shepherd jump to sixth in the drivers standings with Fournier in seventh, only three points behind. The result also sees Epic all but secure fourth place in the team standings, which Davidson believes is a phenomenal achievement. "Our pre-season target was consistent points finishes to get us into the top ten in the team standings, safe to say that was well and truly achieved! Both drivers have achieved a phenomenal set of results for their first seasons in GPVWC. To be fourth in the teams championship is an incredible achievement, one which everyone associated with the team should be extremely proud of."

With one round left to determine who will come out on top of the intra-team battle, Davidson is already starting to set his sights for the team's performance in 2016. "Well, if the changes take place that we think may happen, such as a switch to rFactor 2, then I'm extremely confident that both Chris and Geoffrey will continue to compete at a front running pace. Instead of just points, consistent top tens will be the order of the day. It will of course be a lot more difficult with the expectations we have created from 2015's performance but it's what the team should expect as we continue to grow within GPVWC."

The next round is also the final round of the year and takes place at the Portland International Raceway on the 12th of October.
