As the buildup and preparations to the new season goes into full swing, another team in the form of Draig Racing announce their 2016 Formula Challenge driver line-up.

It is with great pleasure that we can announce Draig Racing's two Formula Challenge drivers for the 2016 GPVWC season. Driving the #34 Car this year will be Matthew Chirgwin, and in the #35 will be Cameron Brewster.

#34 Matthew Chirgwin: "It is a massive honor to drive for Draig this year in Formula Challenge. The team has a superb pedigree and it is clear from the previous results they have had that they are a determined squad who want to compete. Having worked with the team in a session earlier in this month I could see why they were so successful, and knew straight away that I wanted to be a part of their campaign next year. I had the opportunity to commentate on some great action last year in Formula Challenge, and I hope that I may be able to provide some great moments and results for Draig in next year's season.

"The Formula 2 car is a very different animal to anything I have driven before, and thus I know I am going to set myself some realistic goals for next season. I would hope that regular top tens would be achievable, and having Cam as my teammate is a real plus as we work very well together. Between us I am sure regular points scoring won't be an issue, and I am sure we will have a real crack at the teams title together. Before I get there however I have a lot of learning and laps to do in the car to get settled in. rFactor 2 with all its improvements and refinements over rFactor 1 makes learning a car a real pleasure, so I am looking forward to getting my head down and putting some laps in."

Matthew has chosen the hashtag #WhereIsTheRoof for his car.

#35 Cameron Brewster: "Formula Challenge on rFactor 2 is something I've been looking forward to for a long while and being able to take part in it with an established team such as Draig is a brilliant opportunity for me. I honestly wasn't expecting to be approached by them, but having already taken part in various test sessions with them, it's clear to see they're a very well organised, well-driven team and I definitely think I made the right decision by joining them. Despite only being part of the team for a short period of time, I already feel right at home, which is strange but ever so welcome. The fact we all get on so well means we can get straight on with the important stuff which is getting lap after lap under my belt ready for the start of the season.

"I've always enjoyed driving the Formula 2 car which the Formula Challenge car is based off, but I've never raced it competitively. I have a lot of learning to do, as well as a lot of practice, but I'm already making big strides and enjoying every minute of it. I've also got a close friend in the other half of the team (Chuggy) that also helps as I'm able to easily converse and problem-solve quickly and effectively. I can't wait to see what the two of us, and Draig, can achieve together next year. I'm hoping for regular points-scoring races, as well as perhaps a podium or two along the way. But, I'm not getting ahead of myself and we'll have to wait and see what the pre-season test brings."

Cameron has chosen the hashtag #BowsersBack for his car.

Team Manager Ben Willis said the following as well, "Our decision has been a tough one; there were many talented options for us to pursue, but we believe we have made the right choice in Cameron and Matthew. Both have engaged with myself and mike in a very positive fashion, clearly showing their drive and determination to succeed which is imperative.

It is understood that Draig staff have received their two GPVWC branded JPH1B F2 chassis with a livery presentation to follow within the next month.
