Management launches a new initiative to nurture new drivers within the Career Ladder and grow the World Champions of tomorrow.
GPVWC are delighted to announce the launch of the GPVWC Academy, a new initiative that will aim to offer support, guidance and opportunities to young drivers as they make their first steps in the Career Ladder.

The Academy will identify talent within the ranks of the Open Series, giving one deserving driver every round the chance to race in Formula Challenge in a specially-designated #0 car. In addition, the Academy will provide a marketplace-style forum to match drivers with vacant seats in the Career Ladder's third rung, while Academy staff will support young drivers with technical and sporting queries about life in the GPVWC.

The GPVWC Academy will be managed by Edonis Engineering owner and Open Series main driving force, Menno Klont. Throughout the previous years, Menno demonstrated an incredible enthusiasm for the role the Open Series plays in the GPVWC and represented the perfect individual to take on this position.

The Academy, in co-operation with the GPVWC Management, will host a test session for the Open Series ahead of the start of the season. This will allow any non-contracted driver aiming to find a place in the Career Ladder to get up to speed with the game requirements and settings and exhibit his or her speed, with the possibility of a call up to the #0 for the opening race of the year in Australia.
