With the start of the 2016 Career Ladder season being only a matter of days away, MadCape Racing have announced their driver line-up for the Formula Challenge series.
The MadCape Racing Team are back at it for another thrilling season in the Formula Challenge this year. After a decent showing last season ending in a top 5 in the teams' championship, MadCape is thrilled to be able to have another crack at the championship.

It's no secret that MadCape were expecting to move up to SuperCup for 2016, however a lack of attendance in the form of a second driver curtailed this plan. This meant that the team would remain in Formula Challenge for another season and also meant that MadCape's star man in the form of Lars Brugman would not be racing under the MadCape banner for 2016, as he moved up to challenge the 2016 SuperCup grid.

The team had to work tirelessly in the off-season to find a worthy replacement for Lars. After a long time searching, James Johnson was found to be the worthy candidate. With experience in a multitude of series in sim-racing and with a number of high-profile wins to his name, James is definitely to be regarded as nothing less than a magnificent signing for the team. The fact that he's managed to win races in the Formula Challenge category just adds to the long list of reasons why James and MadCape will be a force to look out for this season.

Filling the gap that stood wide open for the majority of 2015, Michel De Jonge will take his place alongside James for the 2016 Formula Challenge season. Michel is an immense talent moving over to rFactor2 from iRacing. Michel is best known for his endeavors on iRacing, particularly in the DW12 IndyCar, where he's managed to secure the overall ISOWC drivers championship and the ISOWC Road drivers championship. Further to his ISOWC championship wins, Michel has experience racing in the following series on iRacing: NEO Endurance Series; iRacing Road Warrior Series; ROSE DW12 Series; LionHeart IndyCar series; and most notably the 16th Street IndyCar Series sponsored by Racer Magazine, where he went toe to toe with the likes of Sage Karam and Will Power.

Team Director Xavier De Carvalho:
"This season is going to be an interesting one for us. Without the ultra-competitive front-runners from last season in this division it's going to be interesting to see who our competition will be. We may have lost Lars to the SuperCup, but there's no doubt in my mind that we have a strong driver line-up in James and Michel. I have full faith that the two of them will get us to our target by the end of the season. This season will be the one where we prove that we deserve to be recognized as a force to be reckoned with within the GPVWC career ladder and that we do indeed deserve to move up to the SuperCup in 2017. I'm looking forward to watching all of the action unfold."
