After the recent announcement of the teams competing in this years World GT series, TSA confirm their driver lineup for the 2016 edition of the series.

After a successful 2015 season in the World GT championship, TSA Racing is back again and hoping to improve on their impressive points haul from last year. This season will be one of changes, new car and one new driver. However, this is by no means a new package.

2016 marks a return to the brand with which they entered their first World GT championship in the shape of the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R. After running an Aston Martin last season, the team's new line-up agreed the switch back to the Corvette after an off-season full of discussions and deliberation. The front-engined, rear-drive layout is something which both drivers are very familiar with, so they'll have no issue in getting to grips with the new TSA machine.

The two drivers tasked with taming the V8 beast will be the ever-present Matthew Chirgwin in the #3 C7.R and 2015 World GT runner-up Thomas Jacobs behind the wheel of the #4. As you're well aware Matthew, or 'Chuggy' as he's affectionately known, is a loyal and reliable member of the Stowmarket-based team. This will be his third World GT season with TSA and he's very much looking forward to it:

"It is great to be back in the World GT grid again for TSA after a very successful season in 2015. It is brilliant to have Tom as my team mate again as we work very well together and have already hit the ground running in preparing the car for this year's championship. Tom and I were regularly at the sharp end of the field last year and I hope that we will be able to achieve the same this year."

Despite also being a reliable and long-time member of the TSA Racing team, this will be Tom's first season of World GT running under the TSA banner. Despite this though, he's also feeling confident about the season ahead:

"It's nice returning to the team that got me into sim-racing after a short break in 2015. I am immensely excited for the 2016 season of World GT and I look forward to partnering Matthew once again at TSA. I truly believe that with the car we've chosen and the experience we have, we can fight for both championship titles and get many more podiums, if not wins, together."

When team owner and manager Cameron Brewster was asked about the new duo, he made it clear that he has a lot of faith:

"Obviously I'm good friends with both Chuggy and Tom, so that helps a lot with the management aspect. But I also know how strong they are when it comes to racing, especially in rFactor 2. Chuggy showed strong pace throughout the season last year and Tom got very close to winning the title in 2015. 2016 is going to be interesting and I can't wait!"
