The Cornish team brings you the latest after the fourth round of the 2016 Superleague, with drivers Bart De Vos and Sven de Vries finishing in 10th and DNF.

A healthy upgrade package for the Spanish Grand Prix made sure our cars were certainly not the least developed anymore. This was shown off with the #12 car qualifying and finishing inside the Top-10, within 40 seconds of the winner. However, server boot problems afflicted the #83 and by Turn 1 of the race we were a car down. So again it was a race of what could've been. Points were scored but some more were missed, though not through our own fault once again.

Potentia had also given us another nice pair of upgrades to the engine unit; some added Boost performance as well as increased fuel efficiency.

TM Wicks: "Bart qualified well in P10 and this time was P9 after the opening lap; finally having been able to start a race and not get caught up in other people's issues. This meant he could focus on his own race and strategy. The gaps were all very close throughout the race amongst the top 10 and a matter of seconds won and lost here and there made all the difference to several drivers' races. With drivers taking pitstops at different times Bart found himself running 3rd at one point and 5th for quite some time, overtaking several guys when on fresher rubber, but he'd eventually come home 10th, his third top-10 finish in 4 races and keeps his points scoring momentum up.

"Sven's second race of the year was blighted by connection issues and he kept finding himself booted from the server. This meant for qualifying he couldn't manage to complete his runs and when the race finally started he only made it as far as turn 1 before a forced retirement was dealt. With only 15 finishers it was points lost but there's nothing the team can do about it.

"The next track up is Turkey. And yet another big upgrade package is due to be applied to our cars so we're definitely looking forward to it. We want to keep on bringing points home; hopefully this time with both cars should no issues arise, in order to climb up those championship tables. Optimism is still high."

#12 De Vos (10th): "With more upgrades on our car and after the good results at Sochi, expectations were high for this race. Unfortunately we're leaving Spain with only 6 points for the team. Q was reasonable, but I had expected us to be a little higher than 12th on the grid. Because of some penalties I was able to start 10th. Unfortunately the start also meant the end for Sven with an immediate disconnection. It seemed like the tyres on our car were phenomenal, easily doing 20 laps while other were pitting quite a bit earlier. Unfortunately I made a mistake and forgot to put on hard tyres during my second stop, forcing me to make an additional third stop. I doubt this made much difference in the end, but it might have gained us some seconds in the end. Finished in 10th, at the wrong end of a very close top 10."

#83 de Vries (DNF): "I was excited to be in what Bart and Dan had proven to be a competitive car. Unfortunately I was the unlucky one with Teichmann this race to get booted from the server before turn 1. Thankfully Bart managed to collect some well-deserved points again. I look forward to next race, hopefully with more luck on my side this time!"
